Photos from the concert at the Oslo Opera, SISU “warming up” for GÅTE
On friday August 20th 2010, SISU did the “warm-up” thing before famous Norwegian rock group GÅTE entered the stage at the roof of the Oslo Opera, as part of the “Summer at the Opera” series of outdoor concerts at the iconic white roof.
GÅTE is known for using folk music as basis for their rock tunes. When SISU, together with folk musician and singer Øyonn Groven Myhren, started off with an edited version of RUNARTROMMA, a work by Øyonn and SISU based on an old folk ballad, they really set an intriguing medieval mood for GÅTE to enter into.
