SISU PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE
SISU Percussion Ensemble, established in 1993, is one of the leading percussion ensembles in Scandinavia, and an important force on the contemporary music scene. Their fearless artistic attitude and playfulness on stage, combined with great stamina, seriousness and precision, have led to numerous collaborations with composers in Norway and abroad, and made a great impression on audiences around the world.

Recent events
Peace concert arranged by the celebrated choir Ensemble 96 and conductor Nina T. Karlsen. Premiere performance of new work by Audun Aschim Steffensen for SISU and Ensemble 96.
As part of the festival HøstRiss 2022, SISU will perform Drumming by Steve Reich, together with works by Rolf Wallin and Leif Karlsson.
A performance based on objects and sound, four performers create imagesand actions with objects of metal, wood, plastic, textile, in a choreographic form, the performance is a ”work in progress”.
KJETIL SKØIEN has worked with performance art since the 80´s, SISU is a leading percussion ensemble, who goes into the performance language of Kjetil Skøien without playing their instruments.
