Celebrating SISU´s 15th Anniversary

This year SISU Percussion Ensemble celebrate their 15th anniversary as a professional percussion ensemble. We do this by presenting pictures and stories that have made the ensemble what it is today.

With SISU´s schedule rapidly filling up, the need for more administrative resources soon became apparent. Along came Sten Cranner who quickly became an important factor for Sisu´s success and stayed so for ten years. His efforts really kick-started SISU´s career and the band owe him very much.

And with Stens very productive booking and ambitious planning, the need rose for a dedicated driver to carry Sisu and a often impossible number of kilos of percussion instruments round Norway and the adjacent countries. Eivind Marceliussen took expertly care of the logistics, and drove the touring SISU safely through more than one fiery winterstorm.
