When SISU went on a tour with their SISU Plays Wallin project, stages were filled with quite impressive instrumental creations.
Rob Warings entrancing composition Sikoté Sukán is one of the tracks on Sisu´s cd SCRATCH! Ken McCormick made a special music video to accompany the music. Now you can watch it here.
This year SISU Percussion Ensemble celebrate their 15th anniversary as a professional percussion ensemble. We do this by presenting pictures and stories that have made the ensemble what it is today.
The future for the Kroumata Ensemble is secured!

Øyonn Groven Myhren
SISU is participating at the world premiere of the musical story Runartromma (The rune drum). The music is composed by Øyonn Groven Myhren, who also sings and plays the lyre at the concert.

www.sisu-percussion.no has seen some changes lately, both cosmetically and content wise. We have altered the background images slightly, changed the text-width, changed date format, and added lots of videos to the project pages.
We will of course keep on updating these pages, and please let us know if you have tips or wishes.
Marius Søbye, long time member of SISU, is currently in Hospital with a lung infection. We wish him good luck and keep our fingers crossed for him to get well soon.
Saturday March 28 will see SISU perform with KORK (Orchestra of the Norwegian national broadcasting) and puppets from the childrens TV show "kometkameratene" at the Oslo Operahouse. This is a familiy concert, displaying different instruments and players of the orchestra.
SISU will feature as soloist with Torbjörn Grass´s FRIENDSHIP and also contribute as tutti percussion players with the orchestra. Bjørn Skansen will also show off his skills as an actor in this concert.
Marius Søbye, regular member of SISU, is currently in Hospital with a lung infection. Wendy Greenberg is his substitute on this concert.
The concert is completely sold out, two days up front.

Sisu participated on the celebration of the South-African born composer Kevin Volans in his hometown for 24 years, Dublin. The concerts took place in the Irish Museum of Modern Art on July 4 and July 5.

The project RUNARTROMMA for TELEMARKFESTIVALEN was considered a great success, and even the critics were happy.

Sisu and John Erik Kaada is awarded financial support for a new comission by the Arts Council Norway. Sisu is greatly looking forward to work with Kaada and his music.
John Erik Kaada is one of the most exciting young composers in Norway today, and he has already gained a big and well deserved reputation for his film music and also his virtouso pop music.
