3rd of march SISU premiere Geir Johnsons “3.33.33”.
This concert takes place during the World championships in skiing, nordic disiplinces 2011.
The concert is an attempt to make a crossover between art music and long distance skiing.
The central piece this night is the piece “3.33.33”.
It is based on a monologue by the writer Thorvald Steen, about the Finnish skier Veikko Hakulinen, winner of the 50 km in the 1952 Olympics in Oslo. He finished the race in 3 hours 33 minutes 33 seconds.
The piece is written by Geir Johnson in collaboration with SISU
The ensemble also give a premiere of music by John Erik Kaada
Also, we will be joined by friends from Ho Chi Minh concervatory, Vietnam.

SISU plays at the Mela festival Oslo together with friends from Sri Lanka. SISU will perform a new piece by friend and colleague Ganesh Anandan from South India, now living in Prague.
