Transposition is the name of a project witch tries to stimulate the cooperation between some of the leading Vietnamese music institutions and selected Norwegian counterparts.
Ultima Contemporary Music Festival is coordinator for this project, and the following can be read on their website: "By establishing a dialogue between the artistic expertise of the two communities, we hope to be able to establish a mutual understanding that will enrich and broaden our understanding of the function of music in the 21st century." www.transposition.no/
Sisu have made two trips to Vietnam for Transposition, both in 2008, with another trip coming in the spring of 2009. There is also plans for a visit from Vietnam to Norway. On these trips SISU has held masterclasses, workshops and concerts with percussionists in Hanoi og Ho Chi Minh City.
